First Ever MBP Gift Swap: Receiving & Giving a Gift of Love ❤️

What I love most about being a blogger more than the events and gifts I receive is that I get to meet new friends. What's more exciting and rewarding is meeting fellow Mommies who also find joy in the one thing I'm passionate about - writing, sharing my life with people whom I know will learn from my experiences everyday.

So this year, Mommy Bloggers Philippines upped the ante in exchanging gifts. Less hassle and a bit more personalized. It's called the first ever MBP Gift Swap. The gift swap means you have to pick a number which corresponds to a fellow Mommy Blogger to be your gift recipient. Just like any other exchange, of course you have to choose a gift for your partner. But this time, your gift must reflect the personality of the blogger and the blog itself. The more convenient thing about it is that the gift will be shipped to you. Easy, breezy huh?

A Gift of Love

I received a very beautiful gift from Teresa ofPensive Thoughts, I loved her gift because it is a book that would somehow make motherhood easier for me.

I haven't started reading the book yet but I'm sure it's something I would love. I hope I could finally slow down a bit and have time to sit down and read it. The ref magnet on the other hand is something I really liked because I collect ref magnets. So thank you for these wonderful things.

But there are other things to write about, aside from “mommyhood,” that merit her attention, and it all can be read in her blog. Of course, if I was able to receive a gift, I had to send one too! My gift swap gift recipient is Jhanis of Vanilla Housewife. I was more than glad to have been given a chance to give this woman a gift because I super love her. She is one of my few good mommy friends and I truly wanted to make her happy.

Though there has been a mix-up with the shipping, I am hoping she receives the present soon. I chose the Audrey Hepburn inspired dress because she is one heck of a stylish woman and I am hoping she'll love it as much as I did.

True Spirit of the Season

I would like to grab this chance to thank the admins of Mommy Bloggers Philippines - Lani, Louisa & Joy for coming up with an idea such as the MBP Gift Swap. It reminded me to always be sensitive to the needs of the people around me and to give presents that truly represent who they are and the things they would appreciate.

For the true spirit of the holidays doesn't come from the gifts we receive but from the love we give. The happiness we help bring to others without expecting anything in return.
