The Rotary Club of Makati West (RCMW) officially opened its 8th Alay Sining fund-raising art exhibit themed “Art with a Heart” at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5, Makati, which will run from November 13 to November 15.
In support of RCMW’s signature project, the Gift of Life (GOL) program, both seasoned and new sculptors contributed art pieces for the art exhibit-sale. A large portion of the sale price of each art piece will be donated to GOL program beneficiaries composed of youth and children suffering from congenital heart disease.

About Gift of Life program
Gift of Life (GOL) program saves the lives of children born with congenital hearts disease (CHD). Congenital heart patients suffer from general weakness, while being susceptible to pneumonia and other respiratory and cardiovascular complications. Without surgery to correct his medical condition, the patients will die in more case or if they survive at all, do not live normal and productive lives. To date, the ROTARY CLUB MAKATI WEST (RCMW) has provided for the operation of 362 patients.
About Alay Sining
ALAY SINING - Art with a Heart is a project of the Rotary Club Makati West (RCMW) in partnership leading and budding sculptors of the country. Conceptualized by the late National Artist for Architecture, Design and Allied Arts, Ildefonso “I.P.” Santos, Jr., the project which is now on its 8th year, has gradually succeeded in supporting the RCMW´s program of providing free heart surgery to children diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD) from infants to 18 years of age belonging to indigent families.
