DIY | Sharpie Mugs

Aside from notebooks and ballpens, part of my favorite things are SHARPIES! I just like using them! On letters, signatures, drawings and my frustrated bag designer sketches. I had a lot of free time on my hands tonight so I decided to give my new set of sharpies a test drive!

Since Christmas is just around the corner, I decided to come up with gift ideas, and what better way to give a gift that's from the heart not to mention - affordable!

So first on my personalized gift idea: DIY Sharpie Mug! Affordable materials plus easy and quick to make!

Not bad for a first time sharpie mug huh?

Materials needed and cost:

Sharpie Permanent Markers - (fine point) - P36.50 pesos each at National Bookstore
White blank coffee mugs - P25 pesos retail and around P22 pesos for wholesale
Microwave oven - well you can check out your nearest appliance center but I guess P3000 pesos up would get you a good brand.

    Materials Needed

Procedure:

Draw or doodle whatever design you have in mind. I used a quote from RUMIs' poem as a test because I figured texts are much easier to do.

"it is your road and yours alone. others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you." - RUMI

Put it inside the oven at 350*F.

Heat for about 30 minutes and let it cool inside the oven for about 10 minutes or more.

*be careful though cause it is really hot!*

Stay tuned for more of my personalized/diy gift ideas!
